The implementation of the program for the development of the intellectual property market in Tatarstan was discussed at a round table in the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a videoconference round table "To innovation through intellectual property. Results of the implementation of the program for the development of the intellectual property market in the Republic of Tatarstan". It was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Tatarstan Central Research Institute, innovative companies.

The head of the Department of Investment and Innovation Activity, Dinar Shakirov, noted that the Ministry of Economy of the Republic actively cooperates with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Federal Service for Intellectual Property. The state program for the development of the intellectual property market in the Republic of Tatarstan has been implemented since 2016.

As part of the implementation of the program, from 2016 to 2020, an audit was conducted and the intellectual property management system was implemented at republican enterprises.  The activities carried out contributed to the identification of the results of intellectual activity subject to legal protection and the identification of possible areas for improving the production activities of participating companies.

Every year since 2017, 100 specialists, taking into account the needs of enterprises, received additional education in the field of intellectual property management, based on the best domestic practices and foreign experience.

Also, in 2020, in order to protect the interests of republican organizations in the supply of products to foreign markets, 11 enterprises and organizations received services for the promotion of international applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) procedure.

In the development of digital initiatives by the Ministry of Economy and Tatarstan Institute SUE platform "TatPatent", designed to become a one-stop shop for innovators and inventors, was created. It allows you to receive advisory services on the registration of intellectual property entities, measures to support innovative business, as well as to form applications to receive grants from the Fund for the promotion of small forms of enterprises in the scientific and technical Sphere. Here you can find all the relevant support measures for self-realization and promotion of your ideas.

Tools to support innovators and businesses, issues of further development and modernization of the intellectual development program were presented during the speakers speeches. The most relevant issues were discussed in the format of an open discussion.

The results of the round table will also be presented in the materials of the final board of the Ministry.
