24 December 2020, Thursday

The issues of interaction in the field of innovation were discussed at a meeting held in the format of a “round table” in the framework of an online forum dedicated to the Day of the Kuibyshev Railway in the Republic of Tatarstan. Dinar Shakirov, Head of the Investment and Innovative Development Department, spoke about the work of Tatarstan to support innovative projects.

He noted that the republic is a region with an active policy of supporting innovation. This is confirmed by the leading positions of Tatarstan in federal ratings.

A stable innovative infrastructure, which is represented by the special economic zones “Alabuga” and “Innopolis”, contributes to the comfortable creation and implementation of innovations. 162 residents are involved in the SEZ. The innovation infrastructure also includes Technopolis “Khimgrad” - a modern industrial chemical park. It numbers about 314 small and medium-sized businesses engaged in low-tonnage chemistry, polymer processing, nanotechnology, resource conservation and energy efficiency, and medical technology.

“Technopark structures remain the key links in the chain of the republican innovation infrastructure. One of such key objects is the “Idea” Innovation and Production Technopark, which numbers over 90 companies. Also in Tatarstan, the Technopark in the field of high technologies “IT Park” is successfully functioning, which is located at two sites - in Kazan and in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny”, Dinar Shakirov said.

In addition, Tatarstan actively cooperates with the Foundation for Assistance to the Development of Small Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere. In 2020, 113 projects were supported from Tatarstan under the Fund’s programs for a total amount of 719 million rubles (11% more than in 2019). The main product of innovative entrepreneurship is intellectual property.

Also in the summer of 2020, the Ministry of Economy and the Tatarstan CSTI launched the TatPatent platform. It allows you to receive advice on registration of intellectual property, use information on measures to support innovative business, as well as form applications for a grant from the Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology. As Dinar Shakirov noted, more than 200 projects have already received support thanks to the TatPatent platform.

Also the Chief Engineer of the Kuibyshev Railway - a branch of Russian Railways Agrafenin Denis Vladimirovich, General Director of the Union of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny Farid Basharov, representatives of the Innopolis SEZ, Technopark in the field of high technologies “IT Park”, managers of companies developing new technologies for the needs of railway transport made reports at the event.

At the end of the meeting, a discussion of issues of interaction and prospects of cooperation with the Kuibyshev railway took place.
