Another agreement on protection and encouragement of investment (hereinafter - SZPK) was signed today at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. This is a Tatarstan investment project for construction of a combined cycle gas turbine unit with a capacity of 850 MW at the Zainsk SDPP, which is being implemented by “Tatenergo” AO.

The project cost is estimated at 40.8 billion rubles. It is planned to implement the project of modernization of the Zainsk SDPP by transferring from a steam-power cycle to a steam-gas cycle using modern, innovative world technologies by 2024.

The law on SZPK makes it possible to create predictable conditions for implementation of projects for investors and to obtain the expected result through a “stabilization clause” for 6, 15, as in this case, 20 years. For investors, the working conditions remain unchanged, in relation to tax payments (income tax, property, transport tax, payment terms and the procedure for VAT refunds), land use and urban planning activities. For implementation of large-scale long-term projects, the possibility of subsidizing the costs of creating infrastructure is also provided.

Let us recall that the ceremony of signing the first 9 agreements took place in Moscow last week, in particular, the Wildberries project was signed to create an omnichannel trade support center, which is being implemented in the Republic of Tatarstan.
