The Single-Industry Towns Development Fund and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives will begin joint work to improve and stabilize the socio-economic situation in single-industry towns. This agreement was signed by Deputy Chairman of VEB.RF, General Director of the Single-Industry Towns Development Fund Irina Makiyeva and General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Svetlana Chupsheva during the forum “Strong Ideas for the New Time”.
The agreement provides for the interaction of organizations to improve the investment climate in single-industry towns by supporting socially significant projects and attracting funding for the implementation of new investment projects. In addition, ambassadors of ASI and MONOGORODA.RF will appear in the regions, who will broadcast the preferences available for business from single-industry towns.
“We have been actively cooperating with the agency for several years already. The time has come to make our work more ambitious. Now ambassadors will appear in the regions who will tell entrepreneurs about the available support measures in single-industry towns, about the possibilities of participating in development of the urban economy. This is the first time in our practice! There is a huge amount of work ahead, which I am sure will bring bright results”, said Irina Makiyeva.
“Improving the investment climate is always a comprehensive approach. All interested parties should participate in this process: not only business and government, but also the residents themselves, the final “consumers” of changes. The ASI's competence and experience in consolidating the actions of administrations and various public groups will enable the development of projects attractive to investors”, said Svetlana Chupsheva.
MONOGORODA.RF and ASI will also jointly increase the level of involvement of citizens and organizations from single-industry towns in activities aimed at creating a comfortable urban environment.
