Midkhat Shagiakhmetov: Interaction with entrepreneurs and credit organizations has been built thanks to the coordinated and timely actions of the republic’s leadership

18 August 2020, Tuesday

At a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers, the Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov said that during the pandemic, more than 30 state support measures were in force for entrepreneurs of Tatarstan: these are property, financial and non-financial assistance - consulting and educational programs.

So, thanks to federal support measures:

- the deadlines for paying taxes were extended for more than 30% of small and medium-sized businesses of the republic (46,648 organizations and individual entrepreneurs), including more than 20% of entities (30.3 thousand) received an extension for the payment of insurance premiums;

- subsidies for urgent needs were paid to more than 40 thousand entrepreneurs for 2.6 billion rubles (42,424 for April (in May), 38,081 for May (in June);

In addition, serious support was provided to self-employed citizens, currently 75,000 people have received the status of “self-employed” in the republic. It is worth noting that in 2019 Tatarstan became one of four pilot regions to introduce a tax regime for self-employed citizens. Entrepreneurs of the republic appreciated the convenience and ease of doing business in this status, as evidenced by their number. During a pandemic:

- taxes paid in 2019 were returned to them (the refund amount was 139.9 million rubles in the Republic of Tatarstan),

- for the self-employed, tax capital was also provided (in the amount of the minimum wage 12 130 rubles).

The Ministry of Economy monitors the implementation of support measures on a daily basis. Thanks to the well-coordinated and timely actions of the republic's leadership, interaction with entrepreneurs and credit institutions has been built. Today in Tatarstan:

- more than 2 thousand loans of business entities were restructured in the amount of 16.7 billion rubles;

- over 5.4 thousand (5,412 units) of soft loans (at 0% and 2% per annum) were issued for the amount of about 14.7 billion rubles (14,669 billion rubles);

- 3.2 thousand soft mortgage loans (3,183 units) were issued for the amount of 7.2 billion rubles.

“It is worth noting that federal measures are mainly aimed at supporting enterprises from the list of the most affected industries, while many entrepreneurs of the republic who were not included in the list, but who felt the crisis impact on their activities during the pandemic, were not covered by measures. A package of support measures has been created for such entrepreneurs in the Republic of Tatarstan, which was approved by the President of Tatarstan and made it possible to expand the pool of recipients of aid from the state. This year, more than 1.7 billion rubles (1.683 billion rubles) have already been allocated for preferential microloans, loan guarantees and subsidies”, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov said.
