On August 24, 2020, it is planned to open the first stage of the Wildberries logistics center with an area of ​​50 thousand square meters, and in the third quarter of this year - the first stage of the wholesale distribution center for the OZON group of companies with an area of ​​37.6 thousand square meters. This was announced today by the Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov at a briefing on topic: “On implementation of support programs and creation of conditions for the conduct and development of entrepreneurial activity in the republic”.

He noted that implementation of these projects will attract more than 7.7 billion rubles of investments into the economy of the republic and create about 6 thousand new jobs.

The companies OZON VOLGA OOO and VB VOSTOK OOO, which implement investment projects for the construction of logistics complexes for the OZON and Wildberries companies, are among the largest residents of TASED. “Implementation of these projects has become possible, among other things, thanks to the created engineering infrastructure of the Zelenodolsk industrial site, which in turn was built with the co-financing of the Single-Industry Towns Development Fund.

“The crisis situation in the economy has shown that the strategy chosen by the republic for the development of Internet trade was timely. I would like to note that during the period of self-isolation, there has been a twofold increase in republican sellers at these sites, the number of which currently amounts to more than 2,000”, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov said.
