Alabuga SEZ attracted 57 companies as residents

Today Alabuga SEZ is one of the best special economic zones in the Russian Federation. The SEZ attracted 57 companies as residents. Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov announced this to journalists today at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the implementation of support programs and creation of conditions for conducting and developing entrepreneurial activity in the republic.

He noted that for the period from 2010 to 2019, 48 companies received the status of a resident of the Alabuga SEZ. Today, industrial and production activities are carried out by 33 residents, 30 of which were launched in the period 2010 - 2019.

The volume of investments made by residents as of January 01, 2020 amounted to 134.7 billion rubles, 123.6 billion rubles of which - for the period 2010 - 2019.

Number of jobs created at resident enterprises as of January 01, 2020: about 7 thousand jobs, including 5,224 jobs - for the period 2010 - 2019.

As of January 1, 2020, the revenue of residents from manufactured products amounted to 481.8 billion rubles. Residents of the special economic zone are represented by three key clusters: production of cars and auto components, processing of polymers into finished products, and production of construction materials. In addition, projects in the food industry, woodworking, glass production, composite materials, and mechanical engineering are being implemented on the territory of the Alabuga SEZ.

Let us recall that the Alabuga SEZ was launched in 2005 with the aim of promoting the development of the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan by creating favorable conditions for large-scale attraction of domestic and foreign direct investments, creating modern industrial and production complexes that meet international standards.
