Receiving direct gratuitous support for provision of preventive measures was discussed at a meeting at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a traditional weekly meeting on topic: “On implementation of the Action Plan to ensure the sustainable development of the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan in the context of the worsening situation due to the spread of a new coronavirus infection”. Members of the working group on ensuring sustainable development of the economy of the Republic, all municipalities of Tatarstan, representatives of relevant ministries and departments took part. The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov.

Before moving on to the agenda, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov noted that on Monday a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects took place, within which the President of the Russian Federation announced key decisions. In particular, a draft decree will be prepared, which will fix the goals of national development for the period until 2030, based on the provisions of the decree, national projects will be adjusted within three months, while the measures of the national action plan will be integrated into national projects.

The Minister also recalled that from July 15, the implementation of a new support measure begins - the provision of subsidies for preventive and disinfection measures for small and medium-sized businesses, whose activities involve close and long-term contact between staff and visitors (clients).

More than 11 thousand organizations and individual entrepreneurs with a total number of employees of about 33 thousand people can count on receiving direct gratuitous support in the republic. The subsidy is provided in 2020 as a one-time free of charge to cover part of the costs of prevention and disinfection related to ensuring sanitary and epidemiological requirements to prevent the spread of a new coronavirus infection. To receive a subsidy, entrepreneurs of the republic must send an application in electronic form to the tax authority or through the personal account of the taxpayer, applications for subsidies are accepted until August 15, 2020
