The project from Tatarstan was among the winners of the “Smart Evolution” competition

The winners in five nominations were determined at the all-Russian competition of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) “Smart Evolution”, which aimed to identify interesting practices and anti-crisis solutions to socio-economic problems in Russia. A project from Tatarstan for the delivery of doctors by Yandex.Taxi won the nomination “Smart.Antivirus”.

Amid the increased workload of doctors providing home health care to prevent the further spread of COVID-19 caused by the pandemic, the issue of how to effectively handle these calls has arisen. The Tatarstan best practice concept assumes that doctors and medical personnel visiting patients at home can order a car from a dedicated vehicle fleet through the Yandex.Taxi application at a special “Medic” tariff. The service for doctors works according to the schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and partner drivers are also compensated for the time for daily disinfection of the car (1 hour). It should be noted that the “Medic” tariff is available only to doctors, and the fare is paid from the regional budget.

Let us recall that the nomination “Smart.Antivirus” included solutions and methods aimed at adapting people's lives to the conditions of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as localizing and eliminating its consequences. Projects for the provision of medical care, organization of remote work or training, and support of industry and business in crisis conditions were accepted for participation. For the first place in the nomination the Tatarstan project was awarded with a prize of 500 thousand rubles.

A total of 542 applications from 70 regions of Russia were received for the competition. From Tatarstan, 16 applications were submitted for participation in the competition. In addition to financial support, ASI will provide expert and organizational assistance to all winners. The agency will also promote and support practices that can be disseminated as ready-made projects with a systemic effect for the region or the country as a whole.
