Winners of the second competition for grants of the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society in 2020 were determined on June 15 at a meeting of the Coordination Committee. The meeting was held in a videoconference mode by the First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation Sergey Kiriyenko.
11,085 applications were submitted for the competition, held from February 26 to April 6, 2020. 2,402 of them, based on the results of an independent examination, will receive support totaling 4.6 billion rubles.
66 non-profit organizations from Tatarstan are also among the winners. Projects will be implemented in the fields of youth policy, science and education, ecology, culture and art, healthcare and other social sectors. More than 120 million rubles will be allocated for implementation of all Tatarstan projects.
The largest amount of funding, more than 10 million rubles, was allocated to the Tatarstan educational online project “Generation of Industry 4.0”. The project aims to increase the availability of practical knowledge about technologies: machine vision, the Internet of things, programmable automation and augmented reality for students of schools, lyceums and colleges living in small cities with a population of less than 50,000 and villages in the Republic.
Another Tatarstan project, created for the social and domestic rehabilitation of blind and visually impaired people, also received about 10 million rubles in the form of a grant. The project was developed for the visually impaired and is implemented through training and rehabilitation courses.
DonorSearch community of blood donors has been allocated support in the amount of more than 7 million rubles to attract and motivate young people to make regular blood donations. The project from Tatarstan is the largest non-governmental non-profit program of its kind in Russia and the CIS countries. Over the years the project has existed, the State Blood Service program has significantly updated its methods of working with the public and largely repeated the tools that the DonorSearch team was the first to introduce in the field of donation from 2010 to 2019.
The largest number of Tatarstan projects is presented in the categories “Social Services, Social Support and Protection of Citizens”, in the field of culture and art, as well as science, education and enlightenment.
Also on the eve, the start of an extraordinary competition for a grant from the President of Russia was announced. Applications for participation are accepted until July 15. You can apply on the website президентскиегранты.рф.
The competition will accept projects involving the provision of targeted assistance to those in need, in three areas:
- “social services, social support and protection of citizens”;
- “protecting the health of citizens, promoting a healthy lifestyle”;
- “support for family, motherhood, fatherhood and childhood”.
The project implementation period should begin no earlier than September 1, 2020 and end no later than December 31, 2021.
The winners of the competition, in turn, will also receive financial support, which they will be able to send to implementation of the project.
