More than 600 Tatarstan socially oriented non-profit organizations will receive additional support measures

9 June 2020, Tuesday

The Ministry of Economic Development of Russia has formed a register of socially oriented non-profit organizations, which will be provided with additional support measures. It included organizations that, from January 1, 2017 to April 1, 2020, received subsidies and grants as part of federal, regional and municipal programs, Presidential grants, and were also social service providers and executors of socially useful events. From Tatarstan, the list includes more than 600 SONPO.

Organizations included in the register may apply for soft loans at 2%. SONPO can direct the received money to carry out activities, including the payment of wages to employees, or to repay previously taken loans, including interest-free loan for payment of labor. For organizations that retain at least 90% of their employees, the loan will be debited with interest - the entire amount will be paid by the state.

Also, deadlines for paying insurance premiums to state extra-budgetary funds, taxes and advance payments of taxes, excluding VAT will be extended for SONPO, included in the register. SONPO will also be exempted from paying taxes, advance tax payments, and corporate income tax levies - in terms of monthly advance payments subject to payment in the second quarter of 2020.

Tax incentives for participation in charity will also be expanded for such organizations. Companies that donated property to NPOs, including cash, will be able to include them in non-operating expenses when determining the tax base for income tax.

More details on support measures, as well as the list of recipients can be found on the website of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
