Light industry will receive additional support

Light industry enterprises may receive additional support, the corresponding instruction was given by Russian President Vladimir Putin. This was announced by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov at a meeting with participation of urban districts and municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan on topic: “On implementation of the Plan of measures for ensuring sustainable development of the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan in conditions of worsening situation in connection with the spread of a new coronavirus infection”. The event, which took place via videoconference, was attended by members of the working group on implementation of the republican Plan of measures for ensuring sustainable economic development, all municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Association of Enterprises and Industrialists.

Measures to support light industry include subsidizing discounts on equipment that is leased to light industry enterprises, increasing subsidies for servicing light industry loans. It is planned to create special platforms for enterprises, the development of online trading. When procuring government agencies, priorities will be given to Russian light industry products.

The Minister noted that the work of system-forming organizations plays a significant role in restoring demand in the current conditions. The Minister also proposed to intensify the work on participation of enterprises in the program of “growing” small and medium-sized enterprises, which aims to increase the level of technological readiness and competitiveness of SMEs, as well as stimulate the development of SMEs as suppliers of large customers.

Representatives of the Mendeleyevskiy, Arskiy and Atninskiy districts reported on participation of small and medium-sized enterprises in support programs.

In the Mendeleyevskiy district, the list of the most affected sectors included 235 SMEs. This was announced by the Head of the Executive Committee of the Mendeleyevskiy district, Rustem Abdullin. 40% of these are representatives of the retail trade in non-food products, 28 % are engaged in road transport, 14 % provide household services, 10.6 % provide catering services. In April 201 (85.5%), the SME entity sent a statement to the tax service to receive subsidies; more than 80 applications were sent in May to receive subsidies.

The Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Arskiy district, Rasul Mukharyamov, noted that 388 enterprises were included in the list of affected industries applying for state support. The main areas of activity are trucking, catering, domestic services, hotel and tourism, retail trade in non-food products. Applications for the payment of subsidies were submitted by 344 entrepreneurs (28 legal entities and 316 individual entrepreneurs) or 87% of enterprises in affected sectors, 255 of which received payments (74%).

 

“In the Atninskiy district, 58 small businesses are classified as the most affected areas, said Airat Kayumov, Head of the Executive Committee of the Atninskiy district. He noted that the district is mainly agricultural, therefore, the main agricultural producers did not fall under a direct ban, did not suspend their production and continued to work in compliance with sanitary standards, providing the market with agricultural products and being a customer for suppliers.

Earlier, Tukayevskiy, Kamsko-Ustyinskiy, Apastovskiy, Verkhneuslonskiy, Aktanyshskiy districts and Naberezhnye Chelny presented their reports. Traditional meetings will continue next week.
