The Ministry of Economic Development proposed to give small and medium-sized businesses the opportunity to clarify the OKVED code to receive state support

26 May 2020, Tuesday

Not all companies and entrepreneurs could get support: even if they worked in the affected industry, their main OKVED did not always correspond to it.

The Ministry of Economic Development offered the government to give small and medium-sized businesses the opportunity to clarify the code of the main type of activity according to the All-Russian Classifier (OKVED). This was reported to vc.ru in the press service of the department.

So companies will be able to apply for state support, and the list of enterprises that rely on benefits will expand by about 200 thousand. According to the proposal, companies will be able to clarify the code before July 1.

Now companies from the 11 most affected sectors from the pandemic can count on state support. Each industry includes one or more activity codes:

• Air transportation, airport activities, trucking.

• Culture, leisure and entertainment.

• Sports and fitness activities.

• Activities of travel agencies and other organizations providing tourism services.

• Hotel business.

• Catering.

• Activities of continuing education organizations, non-governmental educational institutions.

• Organization of conferences and exhibitions.

• Provision of household services to the population (repair, washing, dry cleaning, hairdressing and beauty salons).

• Dentistry.

• Retail trade in non-food products, including handicrafts and vending manufacturers.

The Ministry of Economic Development has received many complaints from companies that work in the affected sectors, but cannot get support, writes RBC with reference to the department. The code specified during registration and recorded in the Unified State Register of Individual Entrepreneurs (EGRIP) or the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (EGRYuL) does not correspond to the real type of activity, the agency explains.
