Members of the working group under the coordination of Midkhat Shagiakhmetov discussed proposals for economic recovery

The regular videoconferencing meeting with representatives of the working group on ensuring sustainable development of the economy of the Republic under the coordination of Midkhat Shagiakhmetov was devoted to proposals for inclusion in the federal and republican action plans that will ensure the restoration of employment and incomes of the population, growth and long-term structural changes in the economy.

The agenda of the video meeting is aimed at fulfilling the instructions of the President of the country - to develop an appropriate national action plan by June 1. It is assumed that the plan will include the following areas:

- stimulation of demand;

- removal of administrative, including regulatory barriers;

- simplification of state regulation;

- support and development of affected sectors of the economy;

- support of small and medium-sized enterprises, individual entrepreneurs and self-employed;

- a program to support employment.

Among the key measures of the first phase of the country's economic recovery in May-June 2020 are financial support for affected companies, individual entrepreneurs and self-employed, including through employment support programs and tax write-offs, direct support for citizens, which helps stimulate consumer spending. In the framework of the second phase, in the second half of the year, a systematic restoration of employment and demand, formation of conditions for long-term structural changes in the country's economy are planned.

A number of ministries, departments and organizations of the Republic came forward with proposals that would later be included in the federal and republican action plans for economic recovery, including the Center for Economic and Social Research, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Association of Enterprises and Industrialists, Tatneftekhiminvestholding and others.
