Midkhat Shagiakhmetov: enterprises and businesses need to intensify their activities in the current economic conditions

A new package of measures to support business and the public, as well as the need for municipalities to work actively with the local business community, were discussed by representatives of the working group on ensuring sustainable development of the economy of the Republic under the coordination of Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov. The meeting was held in the familiar format of a video conference.

The Minister of Economy noted that most enterprises and organizations of the Republic had already returned to work. In this case, a strict condition for all epidemiological norms and requirements is a prerequisite. Enterprises and businesses need to intensify their activities in the current economic conditions, while representatives of the districts should assist in adapting when entrepreneurs resume their work.

Before proceeding directly to the agenda, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov announced a number of new measures to support the economy that was presented the day before by Russian President Vladimir Putin as part of a meeting on the sanitary and epidemiological situation. The Minister emphasized the need for the prompt implementation of new measures in the regions of Tatarstan after taking them at the federal level, as well as intensification of work with entrepreneurs to obtain existing support mechanisms.

“Our task is to ensure that enterprises and companies of the Republic that can apply for these measures make maximum use of them. At the same time, there is currently a low involvement of Tatarstan organizations in ongoing support programs. First of all, this is a consequence of their lack of awareness of anti-crisis programs. In this regard, I ask the municipalities to actively work with local businesses, to inform enterprises in a timely manner of new and ongoing activities, to accompany them at all stages of receiving support”, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov emphasized.

The members of the working group also discussed issues of stimulating domestic demand, restoring intra-cooperative ties and forming a list of new types of goods in the framework of import substitution. For these purposes, the Republican Marketing Center operates in Tatarstan on the basis of the State Procurement Agency. The center allows you to intensify the interaction between Tatarstan producers and suppliers and provide them with orders within the Republic.

The center began to function a year ago as part of a project to create a System for Promoting Products manufactured in Tatarstan. This task was set by President Rustam Minnikhanov. The task is global and especially promising in view of the current economic situation. According to the concept, the opportunity should be formed to redirect local producers to investment niches not yet occupied or sectors in which products are produced outside the Republic. For these purposes, new companies are being created or existing industries changed their specialties.

During the year of operation, about 3 thousand supplier enterprises registered on the site, their revenue from transactions on the Aggregator amounted to more than 28 billion rubles.
