Manufacturers of Tatarstan's single-industry towns entered the list of companies ready to supply COVID-19 protective equipment to other cities of Russia

28 enterprises from 4 single-industry towns of the Republic were included in the list of manufacturers of protective equipment against coronavirus, ready to supply them, if necessary, to other Russian cities. The list was compiled by the Single-industry Towns Development Fund in conjunction with the state-owned corporation VEB.RF to assist single-industry territories in providing their residents with masks, antiseptics, protective suits and other products necessary to combat the spread of the pandemic.

Currently, 28 enterprises in 4 single-industry towns - Chistopol, Naberezhnye Chelny, Zelenodolsk and Elabuga - produce individual protective equipment in the Republic of Tatarstan.

The largest number of enterprises included in the list is located in Naberezhnye Chelny. Here, 22 companies are engaged in production of protective equipment, 17 of them are individual entrepreneurs. Some enterprises, in order to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, re-profiled their production. For example, Brossco OOO was previously engaged in sewing school uniforms, corporate clothes and sportswear. Today, the company produces reusable hygiene protective masks made of 100% cotton. Also NPO Tatelektromash in Naberezhnye Chelny produce recirculators for air disinfection.

In Chistopol, the company KGF-GROUP OOO is engaged in production of protective masks. Every day they sew about 5 thousand pieces. Also, masks are sewn by Reglan OOO, production volume is one thousand units per day, and Individual Entrepreneur Shigapova A. Kh., production capacity is 7 thousand products per day.

Protective masks, suits and other necessary products to combat the pandemic are also produced in Zelenodolsk and Elabuga.

Earlier, Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov reported that new lines for the production of medical masks were launched at the largest enterprises of the Republic. The total production of personal protective equipment at Tatarstan enterprises, taking into account the launch of new lines, will amount to 37.45 million units per month.
