Tatarstan introduced deferred payments for rent of state real estate

Yesterday, Aleksei Pesoshin signed a Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on conditions for deferring rent on leases of real estate owned by the Republic. The document is published on the Official Portal of Legal Information of the Republic of Tatarstan. You can view the document here.

According to the Decree, the delay conditions apply to leases concluded before the introduction of a self-isolation and increased preparedness regime in Tatarstan in connection with the coronavirus pandemic.

Deferral is granted to entities operating in sectors affected by the coronavirus pandemic, in respect of rental of state property, with exception of residential premises, for a period up to October 1, 2020, starting from the date of the introduction of the self-isolation regime in the territory of Tatarstan. In turn, payment of the debt on rental payments should be made not earlier than January 1, 2021, but no later than January 1, 2023.

You can make payments in stages by equal payments no more than once a month, the amount of payments should not exceed half of the monthly rental amount established by the contract. According to the document, the accrual of additional payments, penalties and interest on leases in connection with the provision of a deferment is not allowed.
