Green disinfectants production was launched in Almetyevsk

In order to protect against coronavirus, the Center for Youth Innovation Creativity “Image” from Almetyevsk launched its own production of ozonizers for indoor air disinfection. With support of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, the CYIC is preparing an application to the Innovation Assistance Fund for a grant.

As a trial version, 20 ozonizers were produced. “The product begins to be in demand, several ozonizers were purchased by local residents, part of it was sent by a transportation company outside the republic”, said Iskandar Nizamov, Head of the CYIC “Image”.

Recently, the ozonizer was introduced to the Head of the Almetyevskiy district Timur Nagumanov. The project was supported. Now the CYIC is preparing the relevant documents for the production of ozonizers with their subsequent transfer to the municipal institutions of the district. It is expected that ozonizers will be used in disinfection of hospital premises, catering, shopping centers, kindergartens, ambulances, as well as elevators in apartment buildings.

According to Iskandar Nizamov, Head of the “Image” center, ozone is a natural disinfector, therefore it is the most economical, most effective and most environmentally friendly product. It is much stronger than chlorine and alcohol, but due to instability, it quickly decomposes, affecting the cell membranes of bacteria and oxidizing the receptors of viruses, and turns back into oxygen. According to the manufacturer, this is a very safe and quick way to disinfect premises.

“Image” center is being developed as part of the state program for supporting small and medium-sized enterprises of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.

Today there are 19 centers and 3 children's technology parks in the Republic of Tatarstan. They form the basis for future engineering and technical personnel, creation of which is determined by Strategy 2030, support not only training engineering personnel, but also developing entrepreneurial skills among students.
