Tatarstan investment projects will receive additional support

Tatarstan investment projects will receive additional support, this became possible thanks to the Federal Law on Investments Protection and Promotion in the Country, signed yesterday by the President of the Russian Federation.  According to the new law, in the development of which the Republic of Tatarstan took an active part, favorable conditions will be created for investors implementing projects in the field of healthcare, education, culture and sports. The law contains requirements for companies that can enter into an agreement to protect and promote investment. The minimum investment threshold for such companies will be 250 million rubles. In the areas of digital economy, ecology, agriculture - 500 million, for manufacturing - 1.5 billion, in other areas - 5 billion rubles.

The resolution also provides for the implementation of investment projects with the conclusion of agreements on investments protection and promotion (AIPP). The adoption of the law on the AIPP contributes to the investment attractiveness of Russia and, in particular, Tatarstan. The procedure for concluding agreements on investments protection and promotion, holding a tender as part of a public project initiative, maintaining a register of agreements on the investments protection and promotion, and determining the amount of cost recovery will be established by the government on the basis of rules prescribed by law.

Currently, a portfolio of promising investment projects has been formed for a total amount of up to 5 trillion rubles in Tatarstan. Five territories of advanced social and economic development have been created in the republic, two special economic zones are functioning successfully, the number of industrial sites and parks has been brought up to 100. Thanks to the possibilities provided by law, investment projects and business potential infrastructures will receive additional support and development.
