GRP of Tatarstan increased by 1.7% in January 2020

The Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan presented indicators of the socio-economic development of the Republic in January 2020.

So, in January 2020, the gross regional product of the republic amounted to 169.7 billion rubles, which is 11 billion rubles higher than the level of January 2019 (158.7 billion rubles). Macro-indicator growth rate - 101.7% in comparable prices to the level of the corresponding period last year.

The main positive contribution to the economic dynamics is made by industry, trade and agriculture.

The industrial production index amounted to 103.1% compared to January 2019. In the first month of 2020, products worth 199.6 billion rubles were shipped.

In mining, the production index was 99.0% compared to January 2019, in manufacturing - 107.4%, in the supply of electric energy, gas, steam; air conditioning - 96.2%, in water supply; water disposal, waste collection and disposal, pollution elimination activities - 108.9%.

In total, agricultural products worth 13.4 billion rubles were produced, an increase compared to January last year in comparable prices - 102.6%.

Retail trade turnover amounted to 76.1 billion rubles, or 103.3% in comparable prices to the level of January 2019.

This year began with positive dynamics in the construction sector. The volume of construction work is 12.6 billion rubles, or 100.9% in comparable prices to the level of January 2019.

254.3 thousand square meters of total housing area were commissioned.

The consumer price index in January 2020 compared to December 2019 amounted to 100.3%, including for food products - 100.6%, non-food products - 100.1%, services - 100.2%.
