In 2019, SMEs supplied large customers with products worth 21.5 billion rubles with assistance of the RT Marketing Center

The revenue of Tatarstan suppliers on transactions concluded through the purchase module of the Republican Marketing Center (RMC) in 2019 amounted to 21.5 billion rubles. Laishevskiy district of Tatarstan became the leader in business activity of entrepreneurs - suppliers, followed by Kazan, Bugulma, Naberezhnye Chelny and Arsk.

The Republican Marketing Center was created on the basis of trade and information resources of the Agency for State Order on the initiative of the Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan and pursuant to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. It is a constantly updated information and analytical system - a procurement module that contains information about the needs for products, both within the republic and customers from other regions in a particular product with description of all its characteristics and necessary volume of procurement.

“The data placed in the procurement module at the base of the Republican Marketing Center allows enterprises to optimize procurement costs, become more competitive, and receive complete information about market needs and capacity. Now 205 enterprises of the Republic are placing open access to supply the necessary goods, including: Tatenergo OAO, Tatneft PAO, GRID COMPANY OAO”, noted the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiyev.

Currently, more than 2.5 thousand suppliers from Tatarstan are accredited to the RMC. Local manufacturers can receive information about placed orders and offer their products, their conditions for replacing the required products with a domestic counterpart. According to the aggregator of the functions of the Marketing Center, an examination is made of the presence or absence of production of certain products in the republic, and possibilities of localizing such production are evaluated. The Center’s data allows enterprises to obtain more complete information about needs, both in domestic market and in consumption markets of other regions and customers. In 2019, as part of the work of RMC resources, republican enterprises supplied products for more than 21.5 billion rubles.

The largest republican companies providing small and medium-sized businesses with orders include: AK BARS Development OOO, Tatspirtprom OAO, Domkor Industry OOO, BAKHETLE-1 OOO, Kazenergo AO, Tatkhimpharmpreparat AO.

“In Tatarstan, Internet resources for supporting SMEs worked earlier, but each of them was aimed only at business access to purchases of regulated organizations. This fragmentation prevented itself, we, together with the Ministry of Economy, as well as the Center for Social and Economic Research, developed an algorithm in which all resources were combined into one system of informing, training, cataloging offers and assistance in promoting products. A lot of products that Tatarstan purchases are not produced in our Republic. These are the so-called investment niches that our business can and should go to in order to have constant high demand. Today there are 135 such niches - there are simple things like plumbing fixtures, but there are, for example, LED lamps, which are considered technologically complex products. And we offer businesses to produce all this in Tatarstan. Several niches are already closed, that is, the business invested funds there and began to produce these products”, said Yakov Geller, General Director of the Agency for State Order of the Republic of Tatarstan.

For 2020, the target indicators for the share of purchases of goods and services from small and medium-sized businesses should be increased. However, for this it is necessary to increase the level of competence of entrepreneurs themselves to participate in tenders. For this purpose, a special training cluster has been created in the RMC, using which the Agency for State Order of the Republic of Tatarstan together with employees of the Ministry of Economy regularly holds training seminars and webinars on the work of RMC customers and suppliers.
