"KAMAZ" is exporter of the year

PJSC "KAMAZ", world-famous for its trucks and auto parts, took silver in the nomination "Big business: high-tech exporter of the year". The company, whose products are supplied to more than 50 countries around the world, noted the emergence of new export products and the receipt of five European certificates of approval. In addition, the plant delivered a pilot batch of KAMAZ-5325 vehicles of Euro-6 environmental standard to Lithuania.

The winners of the Award at the international export forum "Made in Russia" were awarded by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov. According to him, the national project involves the involvement of a large number of new Russian companies in foreign trade activities, since many of the country's enterprises have the potential to assert themselves at the world level.

"Russian entrepreneurs today need positive examples of how to build relationships with partners, how to take into account the experience and mentality of foreign colleagues, to overcome barriers. The Exporter of the year award is designed to replicate the success stories of Russian business abroad and inspire entrepreneurs, motivate them to become exporters, " Anton Siluanov said.

"Russian companies, both large and small and medium-sized entrepreneurs are already making impressive steps to develop foreign markets. This suggests that Russian products are in demand abroad, the demand for it is increasing, " - also commented on the event, the head of the REC Andrey Slepnev. 

In total, more than 1,600 applications from all Federal districts were submitted for the "Exporter of the year" award, established by the Government of the Russian Federation. Exporters claimed victory in such nominations as: "Exporter of the year in industry", "Exporter of the year in high technology", "Exporter of the year in agriculture", "Exporter of the year in services", "New geography" and "Breakthrough of the year". More than 70% of participants are small and medium – sized businesses.

The winners of the Award will receive various bonuses from the REC. Among them: personal support of negotiations with foreign partners in foreign markets; bonus tariff for servicing the export contract; registration at the foreign market place; training on the acceleration program at the export School in Moscow, as well as a wide range of measures of information support for exporters.

The award was held on a competitive basis in two stages. First, the winners were awarded at the level of 8 Federal districts, then the best in each category were determined at the national level.
