3 December 2019, Tuesday

An additional 6.2 million rubles have been allocated for the implementation of the three-year program "Development of the gas engine fuel market in the Republic of Tatarstan" in 2019.

The amount of subsidies previously allocated this year amounted to 30 million rubles. This allowed to convert more than 1 thousand vehicles of Tatarstan residents, as well as budgetary and commercial enterprises of the Republic for work on natural gas.

As part of the program, residents of the Republic, as well as legal entities and individual entrepreneurs of the Republic of Tatarstan have the opportunity to receive a discount of up to 30% on the transfer of their vehicles to gas – engine fuel-methane. Subordinate to RT Ministry of economy Center for implementation of programs of support and development of small and average business of Tatarstan compensate for the appropriate amount (lost income), the translation point conversion.

In total, since the beginning of the program "development of the gas engine fuel market in the Republic of Tatarstan" in 2016, 3493 units of equipment converted to methane have been subsidized, of which 1646 belong to individuals and 1847 to legal entities.

"The conversion of cars to natural gas, of course, helps to significantly save fuel costs. But in addition to economic benefits, it is also a significant positive effect for the environment. When using methane as a fuel for transport, carbon dioxide emissions are much lower, and particulate matter is almost not released. This has a great impact on the air we breathe," said Tatarstan economy Minister Farid Abdulganiev

In 2019, the total amount of subsidies, taking into account the additional funds allocated, will be 36.2 million rubles. Points of conversion this year have already served 1045 machines: 604 are personal vehicles, 441 are vehicles of legal entities, including individual entrepreneurs and state organizations. Vehicle maintenance and conversion points accredited under the program can apply for lost revenue compensation by December 20, 2019.
