Ozon Internet platform continues to develop e-Commerce in the Republic of Tatarstan and throughout Russia.

In Tatarstan, many initiatives for the development of online shopping are implemented for the first time, then the successful experience is replicated throughout the country. The company invests in logistics infrastructure - on November 11, the construction of its new logistics hub in Zelenodolsk PSEDA started - as well as in the development of a marketplace platform for Tatarstan producers and the expansion of the last mile.

"All this makes it possible to create a favorable environment for Tatarstan entrepreneurs and give them new opportunities for business growth, as well as create new jobs and make millions of affordable goods even closer for Tatarstan consumers," said Rustem Kasimov, Director of Ozon in Tatarstan and the Volga region.

The company purchased over 700 Ford vehicles from Ford-Sollers. They will be used throughout Russia - and in Tatarstan in the first place - to deliver orders to customers. All-metal front-wheel drive Ford Transit vans were chosen for this purpose.  Cars are equipped with a built-in radio with bluetooth, which allows the driver not to be distracted by a mobile phone. All machines are painted in company colors and branded with company logos.

"In 2019, Ozon is growing in Tatarstan by more than 110%, and it is obvious that for the delivery of orders we need to actively develop the last mile," says Kasimov. "This is connected with the purchase of cars, as well as the actively promoted program for the development of the last mile." As part of the program, the company attracts drivers from among entrepreneurs and self-employed who can work on their car or on new Ozon cars produced in Elabuga. Ozon is also actively looking for partners, with whom it plans to open dozens of new points of issuing orders and install post offices in the territory of small and medium-sized businesses.

"OZON is steadily increasing its presence in the market of the Republic of Tatarstan and improving infrastructure. By the end of the year, the company's transport fleet will be replenished with 743 cars produced in Elabuga , Tatarstan economy Minister Farid Abdulganiev said. - In October, together with OZON, WE created an opportunity for self-employed people of Tatarstan to sell products on the company's makrketplace. November 11 laid the first stone in the logistics center OZON, which will open in the third quarter of next year.

Tatarstan entrepreneurs have an opportunity to expand markets beyond the Republic and the country. At the same time, OZON takes care of logistics and transport costs."
