Tatarstan farmers received free "Halal" certificates for their products

The certificates were financed by the entrepreneurship support Fund subordinated to the Ministry of economy of Tatarstan

The business support fund subordinated to the Ministry of economy of Tatarstan financed  "Halal" certificates for the agricultural cooperative ASSMCC "Yuldyz" and the peasant farm of Ramilya Shchukina. Since September, these enterprises from Kaibitsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan have the right to put additional labeling on their products. The amount of financial support for 2 certificates amounted to 180 thousand rubles, thus covering their full cost.

Ramilya Shchukina's peasant farm has been operating in Tatarstan since 2013, specializing in the production of milk, cattle meat, horse meat, lamb. The company has its own meat processing shop, it was on it that the "Halal"certificate was obtained.

ASSMCC "Yuldyz" unites five farms, is engaged in processing of fresh raw materials and production of meat semi-finished products and finished products-sausages, smoked meats, dumplings. "Halal" certificate was obtained for all production of meat-horse meat, lamb and poultry.

"The Ministry of economy regularly analyzes the needs of small and medium-sized businesses and offers support measures that really help businesses grow, whether it is the manufacturing sector or the sales sector. Some measures are revised depending on the dynamics of the market, new support programs are being developed – said the Minister of economy Farid Abdulganiev. -  For example, many requests from entrepreneurs are received for preferential certificates, and we made a reciprocal decision – to allocate sums to cover the costs of certification". 

This certificate gives the right to produce and sell products labeled "Halal". Certification according to "Halal" standards requires the entrepreneur to introduce additional methods of safety and environmental friendliness to the processes of production, storage, transportation and sale of products. The presence of this document increases the status of the manufacturer in the market and gives it an additional competitive advantage.

It should be reminded that small and medium-sized businesses registered and working in the Republic for more than a month can get a service to Finance the receipt of certificates from the Tatarstan entrepreneurship support Fund subordinated to the Ministry of economy. Financial support can cover up to 100% of the costs of the enterprise, but not more than 700 thousand rubles.

This support measure does not apply to credit and insurance organizations (with the exception of consumer cooperatives), investment funds, non-state pension funds, professional participants of the securities market, pawnshops, representatives of the gambling business. The applicant may not be a party to the production sharing agreement, sell excisable goods, minerals, have debts on taxes and fees to banks or the Fund itself.
