"The future of the world economy is in hands of these young masters": the results of the 45 WorldSkills competition have been announced

From August 22 to 27 2019 Kazan hosted 1354 young specialists from 63 countries and regions. Participants of the world championship competed in 56 skills. In the overall medal standings at the end of the competition, the Russian team took second place, and also won all the gold at the end of the Junior competitions of the competition. Masters from Tatarstan became the best in industrial design, development of mobile applications and not only.

The Russian national team won 22 medals, of which 14 gold, four silver, four bronze medals and 25 medallions. The main award of the competition - Albert Vidal Award was also awarded to the participant of the Russian team. Its owner is Anastasia Kamneva from Yaroslavl region. Representing Russia in the competence of "Laboratory and chemical analysis" contestant scored the highest number of points among all participants.

At the end of the 45th international championship masters from Tatarstan also became the best in a number of competencies. So, the first place in the competence "prototyping" took Aydar Mineev, competitive second place in the competence "Information cable network" was awarded to Islam Nigmatullin, third place in the competence "Mobile robotics" shared Oscar Arslanov and Emil Miftakhov. In addition, Timerlan Rakhmatullin, recognized as the best in the Future Skills “Mobile application development”, Nikita Baryshev became the first in the competence of “Industrial design”. Also first place was won by the young master from Tatarstan Victoria Maleckova winning competence “Digital designer” and Hilary Bagautdinova - the best in the competence WorldSkills Junior “restaurant service”.

WorldSkills International is an international movement aimed at popularizing working professions, raising the status and standards of training and qualification around the world. The Agency for strategic initiatives initiated Russia's entry into the WorldSkills movement. Russia was officially admitted as a member of this international organization on may 17, 2012.

Over the years, Russia has twice won the championship. In 2017, young professionals of Russia won the world championship in Abu Dhabi, in 2018-EuroSkills.

In addition, in 2019, participants from Tatarstan who won the first place in the medal standings of the final of the VII national championship "Young professionals" (WorldSkills Russia) were recognized as the most competent in the country.

Award winners arrived in Kazan and the initiator of the movement WorldSkills Russia, the head of the Agency for strategic initiatives Svetlana Chupshewa.
She noted the serious growth of young people's interest in working professions in Russia, as well as the high level of organization of the championship in professional skills.

As Minister of economy Farid Abdulganiev emphasized, the future of our economy is in the hands of such young professionals and everyone who supports the development of such professional movements is doing a great job.

According to the Minister of economy, Tatarstan actively participates in all social, educational and business projects of the Agency of strategic initiatives aimed at the development of the economy of regions: in the program "National technology initiative" in the smart solutions library "Smartek", etc. In addition, within the framework of the St. Petersburg international economic forum, the Agency for strategic initiatives, the Union "Agency for the development of professional communities and workers "Young professionals (WorldSkills Russia)" and the government of the Republic of Tatarstan signed an agreement on the introduction of a regional standard for staffing industrial (economic) growth in the Republic of Tatarstan. Such comprehensive measures should bring the desired result, which is to solve the issue of professional personnel for each of the sectors of the economy.
