LLC "AK BARS INSURANCE" developed the insurance program for self-employed citizens providing compensation of expenses on the sick list and legal support.
Self-employed citizens are those, who work for themselves without hiring employees with an annual income of not more than 2.4 million rubles. To date, 17.5 thousand self-employed people have been registered in Tatarstan. These are taxi drivers, farmers, pastry cooks, tailors, photographers, copywriters, marketers, accountants and civil servants who pay a tax on professional income of 4-6 percent to the budget (instead of 13 percent of income tax).
Currently, self-employed citizens are not protected in case of temporary disability, as they are not obliged to pay contributions to the Social insurance fund.
Upon the occurrence of an insured event, an insured self-employed collects a set of documents and applies for compensation to the insurance company. The amount of compensation will be 0.3% of the sum insured for each day of disability, but not more than 10 000 rubles.
In addition to compensation for sick leave, when applying for an insurance police, a self-employed person receives accident insurance, civil liability insurance and can count on qualified legal assistance, which is also important for a novice entrepreneur.
"Currently, Tatarstan is working on the creation of special products, including credit, for self-employed citizens. It is important to give them the opportunity to receive preferential loans for business development. In accordance with the Federal project "Improving the business environment", JSC "Corporation SME" and JSC "SME Bank" are tasked with developing of such financial support measures", first Deputy Minister of economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Sibgatullin said.
"We want the residents of the Republic of Tatarstan to really feel financially secure. When creating the program, close work was carried out with self-employed citizens, the risks in their activities were studied. Basically, such risks include harm to the health and property of third parties, lack of experience in dealing with legal issues and, importantly, the lack of payments on sick leave. We were the first to create this product, taking into account the wishes of self-employed", Rustem Ismagilov, General Director of AK BARS INSURANCE, said.
