Tatarstan is a leader in the development of exports to the Volga Federal district

The Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation assessed the development of exports of small and medium-sized businesses in the subjects of the Russian Federation. The Republic of Tatarstan has become a leader in the development of exports among the regions of the Volga Federal district.

The Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation assessed the development of exports of small and medium-sized businesses in the subjects of the Russian Federation. The number of SME exporters and the volume of non-resource exports were assessed. The results were presented at a meeting of the Presidium of the presidential Council for strategic development and national projects and will form the basis for further development of regional export development projects.

According to the Federal authorities, the Republic of Tatarstan has become a leader among the regions of the Volga Federal district in the development of exports of small and medium-sized businesses.

The assessment was carried out on such indicators as "growth factors", "factors of infrastructure security" and "additional factors", which included the cost of electricity, the number of registered small and medium-sized businesses engaged in export activities and so on.

Earlier, the Ministry of economy of the Republic of Tatarstan published the results of the first half of 2019 on the implementation of the national project "Small and medium-sized enterprises and support of individual entrepreneurial initiative".  The number of SMEs marketed to the export level from the Republic of Tatarstan in the first six months of the year amounted to 102.2 % of the planned amuont. While the annual plan is 90 exporters to foreign markets, there are already 46 companies marketed on the international market.

According to the Minister of economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev, Tatarstan will actively use the best development practices for the further development of small and medium-sized businesses. Republic plans to not only become an active participant of the Federal project of the Agency for strategic development for the collection of best practices "Smartek", but also to develop its regional counterpart, which will reveal additional potential for further growth of business in the Republic.
