The government of Tatarstan concluded an agreement on development of intellectual property
On the second day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) signed a trilateral agreement on cooperation in the framework of supporting the development of intellectual property sphere in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan was established as the authorized executive body of the Republic of Tatarstan for implementation of interaction on the Agreement.
As the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiyev noted, reliable protection of intellectual property is the key to development of innovations, without which the economy of the future is impossible. Today, in Tatarstan, the necessary base has been created, without which the full socio-economic development of the republic and its intellectual potential are impossible.
The signing ceremony was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Oksana Tarasenko and Head of Rospatent Grigory Ivliyev.
The Agreement provides for the interaction of the Republic of Tatarstan with the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and Rospatent on the formation of a strategic vision of the field of intellectual property, development of its infrastructure, as well as cooperation in building a system of personnel training in the field of intellectual property management and formation of regional brands.
Note that the Republic of Tatarstan was the first among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation to sign such an agreement. To implement the agreement in Tatarstan, an extensive regulatory and infrastructure base for managing and developing intellectual property has already been formed, the only intellectual property market development program in the Russian Federation is being implemented, and active interaction with federal structures and development institutions is being carried out.
