Exporters and self-employed join the Business Class program

Today, within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with the Vice President of Google, Meir Brand. The meeting discussed the results of implementation of the educational program “Business Class” in Tatarstan.

Meir Brand noted that the successful implementation of the project in Tatarstan would be great help for its distribution in other regions of the Russian Federation.

The meeting announced the launch of new Business Class modules for exporters and self-employed citizens.

The export module will allow entrepreneurs to gain basic knowledge and skills, start export activities or improve their performance. As part of the module for self-employed, participants will be able to gain the knowledge that will help them to turn their favorite business into a source of income.

“For entrepreneurs, not only financial, but also educational support is important. It is important that they know and understand the promising areas of economic development, which would allow them to forecast and plan the development of their business more confidently and accurately”, commented Farid Abdulganiyev, Minister of Economy. - In this regard, the Business Class program, which started in Tatarstan in 2016, shows very good results, and we are pleased that now both exporting entrepreneurs and self-employed citizens of Tatarstan will be able to increase their competencies”.

Business Class is a free federal program for representatives of micro and small business from Sberbank and Google. The project is available to users throughout the country. The course materials are developed by leading Russian business experts. The program is designed for both active entrepreneurs and those who are only planning to start their own business.

In Tatarstan, it is being implemented jointly with local governments. This year, the Business Class is available in online format for all residents of the republic. Since its implementation in the republic, more than 44 thousand participants have been registered in the program.
