The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2019), which runs until June 8, started today in St. Petersburg.
Traditionally, the forum is attended by a delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by President Rustam Minnikhanov. The Minister of Economy Farid Abdulganiyev is participating in the forum from the Ministry of Economy.
The main topic of this year’s forum is “Shaping the agenda for sustainable development”. Politicians of Russia and the world, representatives of business circles, public experts will discuss how to ensure sustainable development of the economy in the world in modern conditions.
On the first day of the forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to promote new projects, the Union of the Agency for the Development of Professional Communities and Workers, and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. The document assumes the introduction of a regional standard for staffing industrial (economic) growth in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The personnel standard takes into account the results of implementation of the project of the Agency of Strategic Initiatives “Training of personnel complying with the requirements of high-tech industries based on dual education”, the results of WorldSkills Russia movement and the best practices of the regions of the Russian Federation.
Willingness to share experiences was also a key topic of the panel discussion “Partnership and Exchange of Experience: New Sources of Energy for Development”, one of whose speakers was Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov.
The discussion was attended by Bayer AG Vice-President John Butler, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov, Vice-President of Google Inc. Meir Brand, Director of Business Development in Russia and the CIS IBM Oleg Byakhov, Director of Mail.ru Digital Technologies Pavel Gontarev, Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives Svetlana Chupsheva, Minister of Construction and Housing of Russia Vladimir Yakushev, Deputy Minister of Finance of Russia Andrei Ivanov, regional governors and other participants.
In his speech, Rustam Minnikhanov dwelled on the practices that the republic is ready to offer to other regions.
In particular, the President noted the great experience of Tatarstan in formation of a comfortable urban environment.
As the second practice of Tatarstan, the President cited SME development platforms: “Business needs markets and the Exchange Market created in the republic solves this problem”.
Another practice that Rustam Minnikhanov stopped at is the Unified Crediting Center established in the republic. Today, the project involves 50 financial organizations and funds that provide financial support to SMEs.
In general, the President of the Republic noted the need for training, cited the example of a network of resource centers created in the Republic.
One of the results of personnel training in Tatarstan was the first team place in the National Worldskills Standards Championship.
Concluding his speech, Rustam Minnikhanov invited everyone to the Worldskills World Cup Championships, which will be held in August this year.
