The Russian Forum of Small and Medium Entrepreneurship has started

On the launch day of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the V Russian Forum of Small and Medium-Sized Business began its work, aimed at developing the potential of small and medium-sized businesses in Russia, expanding the dialogue between business representatives and government authorities and improving the efficiency of infrastructure, financial and institutional support for small and medium businesses.

The forum included a panel session “Small Business in the Urban Economy”, organized by the “SME Corporation” and the State Development Corporation “VEB.RF” with participation of Aleksandr Braverman, General Director of the Federal Corporation on Small and Medium Enterprises Development and  Irina Makiyeva, Deputy Chairman of State Corporation “Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)”.

Session speakers discussed ways to stimulate the development of small and medium-sized businesses in small cities, ways to simplify the opening of a typical business, franchising mechanism in replicating the experience of developing entrepreneurs in small cities. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiyev.

On June 6, the opening ceremony of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place. A delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan headed by President Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in it.
