President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov discussed with the leadership of the Gebze special zone (Turkey) a project to develop an industrial park in Tatarstan.
A meeting to discuss cooperation was held in Istanbul with the participation of the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiyev. Chairman of the Board of the Gebze Organized Industrial Zone (GOSB) Vahit Yildirim shared his successful experience in development of industrial parks.
Earlier, Gebze expressed readiness to act as an operator for the development of an industrial park in the republic. The meeting discussed working issues for this project.
“Our zone does not prioritize commercial profit, our goal is to transfer our best practices, which is based on creating comfortable conditions for doing business”, said Vahit Yıldırım during the meeting.
The “Gebze” OIZ, established in 1986, is the best industrial zone in Turkey, on its territory in 516 hectares 181 resident enterprises are registered, 42 of which are foreign, 25 thousand jobs have been created.
Companies from Germany, Austria, USA, Denmark, Finland, France, Holland, England, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg and Korea work in the territory of Gebze.
Key residents: Siemens, San Gobain, Bassf, Avon, Linde, Proctor and Gembel, Colgate / Palmolive, Tuysen Krupp, TI Avtomotiv. Areas of activity of residents of the zone: engineering, automotive, automotive components, IT industry, food, plastics, electrical equipment, electronics, etc.
