Accepting applications for the contest of municipal strategies starts on June 1

VI competition of municipal strategies has been announced. It will be held in two nominations: “The Best Strategy for a Rural Municipal District 2019” and “The Best Strategy for a Rural Settlement 2019”.

“Rural municipal districts - strategists” - districts in which the share of the rural population is at least 40%, the district’s development strategy is approved, and at least one rural settlement has a valid development strategy, are invited to participate in the first nomination.

Municipal formations - rural settlements that have an officially approved current strategy of social and economic development can participate in the second nomination. All rural settlements are invited, regardless of participation in the first nomination.

 

Applications for the competition will be accepted from June 1 to August 25, 2019.

With a sufficient number of applications, the full-time semi-final in both nominations will take place on September 25 in Moscow in the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

The final and the solemn ceremony of awarding the finalists and winners of the competition in both nominations will be held in St. Petersburg at the Forum of Strategists on October 28.

The competition is organized by the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, the All-Russian Congress of Municipalities, the Leontief Center and the Committee of Civil Initiatives.

Representatives of the Republic of Tatarstan annually take part in the Forum of Strategists, where they share their experience, study the experience of colleagues from other regions, and also participate in federal strategic planning competitions. During the Forum, Strategy-2030 won the nomination “Visualization Strategies”, municipal strategies of the cities of Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Chistopolskiy, Mendeleyevskiy, Almetyevskiy, Nizhnekamskiy municipal districts won first places in competitions of municipal strategies.
