Public hearings on system support, strengthening and protection of families in Tatarstan

Today, on the International Day for the Family Protection, public hearings on key goals and results of system support, strengthening and protection of families in the Republic of Tatarstan with participation of the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Mukhametshin, were held in the Small Hall of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Oleg Pelevin, participated in the meeting.

Measures of social support for children and families with children, as well as family topics, development of the institute of motherhood and childhood, which are reflected in national projects: “Demography”, “Health”, “Education”, “Housing and urban environment” and “Culture’ were considered at the hearings.

Let us note that as of January 1, 2019, Tatarstan has 34.8 thousand large families, which bring up 109.8 thousand children. Where, 21.6 thousand families (62%) live in urban districts of Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny, 13.2 thousand families (38%) in municipal districts of the republic.
