29 April 2019, Monday

Potential of the export market of Tatarstan, the results of 2018, as well as plans and tools for development of exports of non-primary products were discussed at the conference #MyExport.

On April 29, 2019 #MyExport conference was held in the House of Entrepreneur of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was attended by more than 90 representatives of small and medium-sized businesses engaged in and planning sales in foreign markets.

The main formats of the event were round tables, an exhibition of exporters of the Republic of Tatarstan, and networking - a session for conference participants.

“Today 400 companies have export potential in the republic. But not everyone decides to export. Our task is to help entrepreneurs overcome the barriers that arise at the beginning of foreign economic activity”, said the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiyev in his welcoming speech to the participants.

In 2018, the CIS and European countries became the main importing countries of Tatarstan products. The volume of non-primary non-energy exports in 2018 amounted to 1 billion 137 million US dollars to the CIS countries and 977 million US dollars to European states.

The greatest interest in the products of republican manufacturers was noted from Kazakhstan (395.1 million US dollars), Belarus (366.2 million US dollars), Hungary (175.3 million US dollars), USA (158.1 million US dollars), Poland (138.5 million US dollars).

“Last year, exports of Tatarstan increased by 17.5% and amounted to more than 15.4 billion US dollars. The share of non-primary exports increased by 27.5%. These indicators allow Tatarstan to enter the top five exporters of Russia among all Russian regions for the third year in a row. This year we plan to further increase the pace of bringing domestic producers to foreign markets”, said the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiyev.
