23 Tatarstan UMNIKs will receive grants totaling 5.75 million rubles

Tatarstan young scientists will receive 5.75 million under the program “Participant of Youth Science and Innovation Competition” this year. They will be sent to implementation of the second phase of 23 projects. These include the development of a functional additive for controlling the degree of crystallinity of polypropylene, creation of a three-dimensional complex test system for testing the activity of antitumor compounds, development of a system for controlling the distribution of air flow with uneven irrigation of water in a tower cooling tower, and others.

Innovative ideas of young scientists were approved at the meeting of the Regional Expert Jury of the final event of the Program "Participant of the Youth Scientific Innovation Competition 2019" (UMNIK). The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Indira Kireyeva. It was noted that all participants successfully implemented the first stage of the project in 2018. 5.75 million rubles from the Fund for Promotion of Development of Small Forms of Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere were allocated for their development. Grants for the same amount will be received by innovators for implementation of the second stage. In the near future, projects will be submitted at the federal level for further funding.
