Changes in Strategy 2030 were approved at a meeting of the State Council Committee on Economy

A meeting of the State Council Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Economy, Investment and Entrepreneurship was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic.

During the meeting, the draft law of the Republic of Tatarstan “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan “On Approval of the Strategy of Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Tatarstan until 2030” was approved. It was presented at the meeting of the Committee by Deputy Minister of Economy Oleg Pelevin.

He notes that 3 years after the adoption of the Strategy significant events occurred that are important to consider in its further implementation. “In Russia, it includes the adoption of new documents, first of all, the Decree of the President of Russia on National Goals and Strategic Development Objectives, which is in fact the main strategic document of the country until 2024”.

Oleg Pelevin reported on making a number of amendments in almost every section of the Strategy, but the main purpose of the document and three key priorities remain unchanged.

In the direction of entrepreneurship, the Strategy introduces new directions to ensure favorable conditions for the activity of self-employed citizens, create a system of support for farmers and develop agricultural cooperation, and develop youth entrepreneurship in the countryside.

In order to develop the export activities of enterprises, the Strategy includes directions for increasing the volume of exports, including non-commodity products, expanding the zone of Tatarstan producers' place in foreign markets, ensuring the efficiency of the export support infrastructure, and strengthening relations of the republic with constituent entities of the Russian Federation and foreign countries.

Taking into account federal priorities, a separate block on development of the digital economy is introduced into the Strategy. In particular, the Strategy has been supplemented with new areas of action for digital transformation of the republic, including personnel training, creation of end-to-end digital technologies and introduction of platform solutions in priority sectors of the economy and social sphere.
