Today, Moscow hosted a meeting of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Oksana Tarasenko, with the leadership of the Gebze Organized Industrial Zone (Republic of Turkey). The event was attended by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan - Farid Abdulganiyev.
The meeting addressed the creation of conditions in the Republic of Tatarstan for attracting investors, as well as the international experience of the Gebze OIZ in creation of industrial parks and technology parks aimed at development of cooperation between science and industry. It is noted that Gebze OIZ is the best industrial area in Turkey. It has been operating since 1986, its area is 516 hectares, land plots are utilized for 100%. 181 enterprises are registered on the territory, 167 of them are industrial. 42 residents are foreign. Companies from Germany, Austria, USA, Denmark, Finland, France, Holland, England, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg and Korea operate in Gebze. The main areas of activity are: engineering, automotive, automotive components, IT, food, plastics, electrical equipment, electronics. Implementation of investment projects has allowed to create 25 thousand new jobs.
