The Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan discussed pricing factors in the region

Today, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting of the Interdepartmental Working Group on analyzing the dynamics of consumer prices, determining pricing factors in the commodity markets of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was attended by representatives of retail chains operating in the region, management of poultry farms.

Inflation in the Republic of Tatarstan continues to remain lower than in Russia as a whole. In January 2019, the growth of the general price level in the region was restrained due to the food component. Food in Tatarstan got up by 4.4% in annual terms (5.5% in the Russian Federation). The republic’s self-sufficiency in most vegetables, meat, dairy products and eggs contributed to a moderate price increase. Products of local manufacturers are widely represented in retail chains.

The meeting discussed the factors affecting the price of agricultural products for retail sale, as well as measures to ensure price stability for the most demanded food products.

This year, this is the second meeting, which takes place with the involvement of enterprises - participants of the Bank of Russia monitoring, acting as industry experts.
