Improvement of the investment climate and business conditions in Tatarstan was discussed today in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. There was a round table on topic: "Acceleration of Small and Medium-sized Businesses of the Republic of Tatarstan". The Minister of Economy of the Republic, Farid Abdulganiev, paid special attention to the redundancy of mandatory requirements applying to business: "They are really unreasonably overstated and often remain from Soviet times". According to him, in the near future the requirements will be revised and irrelevant ones will automatically lose their force. Abdulganiev emphasized that at the federal level, a business climate transformation plan was approved with targets up to 2024: “For the whole country (and each separate region), it is important to stimulate the business environment when procedures are simplified, when the timelines and mechanisms for providing state and municipal services are optimized in order to make the development of an existing or opening of a new business more simple. Active work in this direction together with the regions, and especially closely with Tatarstan, is conducted by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to promote new projects. Every year, the Agency forms the National Rating of the Investment Climate, which assesses, in general, the efforts of the regional authorities in creating comfortable and predictable business conditions”. The republic was one of the three leaders in the 2018 National Rating, the Minister Abdulganiev reminded. Now, according to him, in order to obtain the best result, work was done on errors and efforts were made to strengthen positions in individual industries, large-scale joint work was carried out by the executive authorities, heat and power supply organizations, and also public organizations, which aims to achieve the goals set and solution of a number of tasks on the designated topic.

The work on optimizing the receipt of state and municipal services in electronic form was also noted:

- “For Business” tab has been created on the State and Municipal Services Portal of the Republic of Tatarstan, in order to simplify the search for services for entrepreneurs;

An Internet portal with an interactive gas distribution network map was developed and implemented. There, it is possible to track the status of an application for technological connection to gas distribution networks online through the personal offices of Gazprom Transgaz Kazan OOO;

large-scale work of “Grid Company” AO to increase consumer awareness of the possibility of obtaining services online was continued. Of course, this gives its positive results - the share of applications for technological connection to power grids submitted through a personal account on the website of “Grid Company” AO has been increased from 14.75% to 75.7%.

        In addition, updates were made on the Investment portal of the Republic of Tatarstan, developed on the basis of the best international practices and translated into 11 languages of the world. Its main goal is to provide up-to-date information on the investment conditions in the Republic of Tatarstan, presentation of its investment potential, as well as development of a system of attracting and supporting investors in “a window” mode. Every year the number of portal visitors continues to grow, for example, in 2018, the portal was viewed by over 28 thousand unique users from more than 140 countries of the world.

        In the section “Business Guide” of the Investment Portal the following services are implemented:

        - “Online system for investors” to search for investment sites, buildings and land plots with the ability to view the measures of state support provided;

        - “Support Measures” for selection of state support measures according to different criteria;

        - Feedback forms for sending applications on intention to implement an investment project, requests for information on availability of state support measures, appeals to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
