President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov is visiting Moscow today.
As part of his working visit, Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of the presidium of the Presidential Council for Strategic Development and National Projects.
The meeting was chaired by the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.
The meeting participants discussed topical issues of implementation of the national project “Housing and urban environment”.
Let us recall that the project "Housing and urban environment" is designed for 5 years and involves improving housing conditions for five million families annually due to an increase in construction.
National project “Housing and Urban Environment” was developed in accordance with the Decree of the President of Russia dated May 7, 2018 (No. 204) “On national goals and strategic objectives of development of the Russian Federation until 2024”.
The main goals of the project are to provide affordable housing for middle-income families, including creation of acquisition opportunities (housing construction using a mortgage loan, the rate for which should be less than 8%); an increase in the volume of housing construction to at least 120 million square meters per year.
"Housing and urban environment" project assumes a cardinal increase in comfortable urban environment, an increase in the quality index of urban environment by 30%, a reduction in the number of cities with an unfavorable environment by half.
In addition, it is planned to create a mechanism for direct participation of citizens in formation of a comfortable urban environment, an increase in share of citizens participating in solving the development of urban environment to 30%.
The budget of the national project "Housing and Urban Environment" is 1.1 trillion rubles.
Today, during the meeting, Vladimir Yakushev, Minister of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities of Russia, delivered a keynote speech.
The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Deputy Prime Minister Vitaliy Mutko, Chairman of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina, Chairman of the VEB.RF State Corporation Igor Shuvalov.
