Indira Kireнeva: Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan is always ready to support initiatives of young scientists
Umnik program is aimed at supporting young researchers engaged in innovative activities in five areas.
Acting Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Indira Kireeva, informed about it today at a press conference in "Tatar-inform" Information Agency. According to her, 54 projects of Umnik program of the Innovation Assistance Fund will receive half a million rubles for development of innovative enterprises in the Republic of Tatarstan.
“54 participants became winners in the Umnik program in 2018, compared to 2017, the figures were doubled. The winners received grants for a period of 2 years in the amount of 500 thousand rubles”, added Indira Kireyeva.
Umnik program is aimed at supporting young researchers aged 18 to 30 years old, carrying out innovative activities in five areas: information technologies, future medicine, modern materials and technologies for their creation, new devices and hardware systems, biotechnologies.
“The amount of the grant is 500 thousand rubles for two years: 250 thousand rubles for the first year of work, if all conditions of the contract are fulfilled - 250 thousand rubles for the second year of work”, noted Acting Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.
“On behalf of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan I would like to add: We are always ready to support initiatives of young scientists, innovative companies”, added Kireyeva.
