Rustam Minnikhanov at the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in the framework of the Days of Tatarstan: “We expect the GRP volume to be at least 2.4 trillion rubles by the result of the year”
The exhibition-presentation of the socio-economic potential of the Republic of Tatarstan was presented today in the lobby of the 2nd floor of the building of Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation in Moscow. The exhibition is timed to the Days of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Federation Council.
Valentina Matvienko, Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, familiarized herself with achievements of Tatarstan in many sectors of economy. She was accompanied by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin.
Minister of Economy Farid Abdulganiev took part in the event.
The exhibition presents projects of the region in the field of information technology. You can find out about the sporting success of the region at the stand “Tatarstan - the sports capital”, as well as, stands of Innopolis University, KAMAZ PAO (Public Joint-Stock Company), Tatspirtprom and other large enterprises were also presented.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Information and Communication of the Republic of Tatarstan Roman Shaikhutdinov briefly told Valentina Matvienko about the main projects in the framework of "Digital Tatarstan" and the challenges facing the IT industry.
Further, within the framework of the “Hour of the Constituent Entity of the Russian Federation”, the Days of the Republic of Tatarstan at the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation were opened at a meeting of the Federation Council.
President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, made a presentation on the topic “On main directions of socio-economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan: Strategy 2030”.
Rustam Minnikhanov said that according to forecasts, in 2018, Tatarstan will reach a gross regional product (GRP) of 2.4 trillion rubles, which is almost 300 billion higher than last year.
“At the end of this year, we expect the gross regional product at a level of at least 2.4 trillion rubles, the volume of industrial output will be more than 2.7 trillion rubles. One of the main indicators is the volume of investments in fixed capital. Over the past 10 years, they amounted to 5.1 trillion rubles. About 10 rubles of private investment was attracted to one ruble of public investment”, said Rustam Minnikhanov.
The President of Tatarstan also recalled that the region adopted a strategy for socio-economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan until 2030 (Strategy-2030). As part of this document, it is assumed that the growth of GRP by 2030 will reach 5 trillion rubles.
