The Cabinet of Ministers summed up the interim results of implementation of the Strategy -2030

The interim results of implementation of the Republic’s Development Strategy over 3 years and proposals for amendments are being considered today at the Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan. The strategic session is held with participation of the President of the Republic, Rustam Minnikhanov, and the Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan, Farid Mukhametshin.

The keynote address was delivered by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Rustam Nigmatullin. As drivers of economic development he named the oil and gas chemical complex, which forms about a third of the republic’s economy, engineering, whose volume in the industrial structure is 23.2% (2017), power generation, which generates about 22 billion kW/h of electricity (2.1% in economy), developed business infrastructure, the residents of which produce 10% of the republic’s industrial output. “Traditionally, agriculture makes a significant contribution to the economy of Tatarstan, together with the food industry, they make 11%,” - the First Deputy Prime Minister said. - At the same time, more than half of the republican volume of agricultural products falls to personal subsidiary and peasant farms”.

As Rustam Nigmatullin noted, the economic policy of Tatarstan was aimed at creating a favorable investment climate, developing entrepreneurship, promoting the export of republican products, creating clusters and strengthening their interaction, developing cooperation ties and embedding republican companies in global value chains, creating new products, technologies and services.
