Farid Abdulganiev: “WorldSkills is an opportunity for professional development and growth”. Regional Championship started in Tatarstan
Young, full of initiative and resourceful. WorldSkills Regional Championship (Young Professionals) has started today in Kazan. Competitions on competencies “Entrepreneurship” and “Entrepreneurship Juniors” will be held in Small Business and Entrepreneurship College.
The Minister of Economy of the Republic, Farid Abdulganiev, addressed the participants of the competition with opening words. He notes that WorldSkills is a place of communication not only for high-level craftsmen, but also for those who are taking the first steps in their chosen profession. This is the most prestigious competition in the world among young professionals, giving the opportunity for professional development and growth.
For the right to defend the honor of the native republic, 5 teams will compete by “Entrepreneurship” competence, the same number - in the direction “Entrepreneurship Juniors”. In the framework of competition the participants will have to develop a business project and its marketing plan, describe the production process, calculate the effectiveness of the project.
WorldSkills Championship will be held until December 7 in Tatarstan. Contestants aged from 16 to 22 years old will take part in 83 competencies, from 16 years and younger - in 53 competences of the WorldSkills Juniors direction. More than 2,000 participants and experts will take part in the competition.
The winners of the regional stage will be able to go to the National Championship, where they will compete for the right to be included in the national team. The Russian team will compete at the 45th World Championship in professional skills according to the WorldSkills 2019 standards, which will be held in May 2019 in Kazan.
