"It is planned to increase the gross regional product up to 5 trillion rubles in Tatarstan by 2030", Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Oleg Pelevin told journalists today.
He noted that this task was set by the Strategy of social and economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan until 2030. Thus, the volume of gross regional product for 2017, according to estimates, amounted to 2 115.5 billion rubles, for January-July 2018 - 1,303.9 billion rubles.
As before, the main drivers of the economic development of the republic are the following:
- oil and gas chemical complex, forming about a third (more than 30%) of the economy of the republic (2017);
- machine building, the volume of which in the structure of industry is 23.2% (2017);
- agro-industrial complex, which forms 11% in the economy of the republic;
- energy, which generates about 22 billion kW/h of electricity (22.1 billion kW/h - 2017);
- developed infrastructure for business, the share of manufactured products of residents of which has grown in recent years (from 5.9%) to 10% of the volume of industrial production of the republic, more than 38.8 thousand new jobs were created.
