The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan will participate in the business program of the IV Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
More than 50 business events, including panel sessions, business dialogues and round tables will start tomorrow - September 11. Traditionally, the main event of the Forum will be a plenary session with the participation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The topic of this year's meeting is "The Far East: Extending the Limits of Opportunities."
Work within the framework of the business program VEF-2018 will be conducted in four main areas.
The first topical unit "Investor Support Tools: Next Steps" will be dedicated to the results and prospects of such mechanisms of development of the region as the territories of advanced development and the Free Port of Vladivostok. Discussions are expected to discuss issues of investor rights protection, infrastructure support of business, creation of a special administrative region (offshore) on Russkiy Island, as well as the breakthrough of regions of the Far Eastern Federal District in the national rating of investment attractiveness.
Within the framework of "Sectoral Priorities of the Far East", the Forum participants will discuss the problems of the development of industries, thanks to which the economic growth of the region will be carried out in the coming years. In particular, discussions are planned on the timber industry complex, agriculture, fisheries, oil and gas processing, tourism and port infrastructure, mining and processing of solid minerals, jewelry and improving legislation in the field of geological exploration.
The topical unit "Global Far East: international projects for cooperation" includes business events on such issues as the economic cooperation of the Far Eastern region of Russia with neighboring countries, the role of the Far East transport corridors for the Asia-Pacific region, creation of an international medical cluster in Vladivostok, integration and energy cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region, development of resources of the World Ocean, etc. Also within the framework of this unit there will be TV debates and a session of the Valdai Club on the topic "New geopolitics and political economy of Asia: opportunities for Russia".
Implementation of national projects in the field of demography, health, culture, education and science, housing and the urban environment in the Far East will be among the topics for discussion in the unit "Creating conditions for people's lives". The participants of the discussions will also touch upon the prospects for improving the labor market in the Far East, improving measures for land development within the framework of the Far Eastern hectare program, financing social services and supporting talents, increasing life expectancy, and the role of cultural institutions in the development of regions.
Also within the framework of VEF-2018 seven country business dialogues: Russia-China, Russia-India, Russia-the Republic of Korea, Russia-Japan, Russia-ASEAN, Russia-Middle East and Russia-Europe will take place.
