The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan announces contest for selection of applications for grants to recover costs of small and medium enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan to receive educational services related to the training, retraining and advanced training, and the development of business and entrepreneurial literacy skills. Applications for participation in the competition conducted by the Ministry from 13 June 2013 to 11 July 2013 on weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00 Moscow time, at Kazan City. Moscow, 55, room125.
As part of the development of the socio-economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2014-2016 years the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan conducts visiting meeting with representatives of municipalities, the leading industrial enterprises of the country, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on the socio-economic monitoring, the Office of the Federal Tax service in the Republic of Tatarstan. This form of work with municipalities and enterprises of the republic has been tested in the past year and has shown its effectiveness. June 11, 2013 retreat in the form of meetings of the Interagency Working Group on the formation of social and economic development took place in the city of Nizhnekamsk. The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Saria Sirazieva, head of Macroeconomic Forecasting Hope Chugunova and deputy head of the municipal development Alsou Rakhmatullina.

On May 22 within the framework of Tomsk innovation forum INNOVUS-2013 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a session of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia.
Opening the session, Rustam Minnikhanov said that the Association had performed a large amount of work and already presented some proposals on state support of engineering centres to the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. He also asked to intensify work on promotion of the Association’s interests in the State Duma.
Among priority tasks Rustam Minnikhanov pointed out development of state support measures for innovative clusters, engineering centres, and participation in elaboration of the law about Federal contract system.

Tatarstan Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, in particular, told about work of the qualification committee and development of criteria of activity of technoparks.

On May 22, at a plenary session of 15th Tomsk INNOVUS forum Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that scientific research and adoption of innovations are necessary for developing Tatarstan traditional economic sectors, such as oil production, oil refining, and engineering.
Tatarstan delegation is also presented at the forum by the Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov and Aide to Tatarstan President on economic issues Airat Khairullin.
INNOVUS is the first forum in Russia that has become a popular place for discussing innovative development and decision making for modernization of Russian economy.
Representatives of Russian Government, Federal Assembly, federal executive authorities, office of Plenipotentiary of the Russian President in Siberian federal district, heads of Russian regions, top managers of big companies, Russian and foreign experts take part in 15th INNOVUS-2013 forum.

This year the event is dedicated to adoption of innovations in raw material economic sectors.

At a plenary session Plenipotentiary of the Russian President in Siberian federal district Viktor Tolokonsky read out welcoming address of the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

On May 21 Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov met with officials of the international rating agency Moody’s Investors Service at Tatarstan Government House. Minister of finance Radik Gaizatullin and other officials took part in the meeting.
Prospects of further cooperation between Tatarstan and Moody’s Investors Service, and increase of Tatarstan investment potential were discussed at the event.

Construction of Ford Sollers Motor Plant started at SEZ “Alabuga” today.
Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, OAO “Sollers” Director General Vadim Shvetsov, Ford Motor Company CEO Mark Fields, Ford Sollers President Ted Cannis, Ford Sollers CEO Adil Shirinov, head of Elabuga region Gennady Emelyanov took part in the event.
The production is to be launched in 2015. Total area of the plant is 42,6 thousand m² . 1,6 L Duratec engines for Ford Focus cars will be produced at the plant. The planned annual capacity will make 105 thousand engines, further increase in capacity up to 200 thousand engines per year is possible.
Ildar Khalikov said that he was sure in realization of plans on plant construction. American colleagues also believe in successful development of Russian automotive market. According to Mark Fields, experts say that Russian automotive market will soon become the top one in Europe.

Agro-industrial park started working in Kazan on May 11. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov, Minister of Economy Midkhat Shagiakhmetov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin were first visitors to a unique complex.
The Agro-industrial park is a technology complex aimed at development of small and medium-size entrepreneurship in agricultural sector. It occupies the area of 8,5 hectares. 257 residents, among which are agricultural producers and consumer cooperatives currently sell their produce on its territory.
Tatarstan President looked around shopping stalls, trade departments, veterinary laboratory, café for visitors, spoke to customers and sellers.
Rustam Minnikhanov addressed Ilsur Metshin with a request to think over the issue of transport accessibility for city dwellers.
Marat Akhmetov informed that the cost of construction and facilities had made 2,4 bln rubles allocated from federal and republican budgets. Allocation of extra federal funds for purchasing technology equipment is now under consideration.

On April 27 at a session of Tatarstan State Council Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov made report on activity of executive authorities in 2012. He said that the previous year had been quite successful.
Thus, the Gross Regional Product accounted for 1 trillion 415 bln rubles in 2012. Dynamics of GRP was conditioned by outrunning growth of manufacturing activities, development of construction and expansion of consumer demand.
Decrease of dynamics was observed in agricultural sector in 2012. It was connected with abnormal weather conditions in August resulted in decrease of agricultural production by 6,9 per cent.

Ildar Khalikov continued that there was the tendency to slowdown in economic growth in first quarter of the current year in Russia and in the republic.

At the opening ceremony of 8th Kazan venture fair CEO of the Russian Association of Venture Investment Albina Nikkonen said: “Kazan venture fair is a platform, which brings ideas for implementation of different projects, improvement of legal framework, simplification of conditions to carry out business activity.”
The Kazan venture fair opened at Korston hotel & mall with participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. The President wished success to participants of the event and thanked partner companies.
To the point, participants of the Kazan venture fair can share their experience in the sphere of direct investments and venture capital, discuss common problems, and determine effective development strategies for their companies.
