The limits under "The Program 6.5" to support small and medium-sized business have been increased by 50 bln RUB

The limits under "The Program 6.5" have been increased by 50 bln RUB.  The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Russia resolved to increase the limits under the Program of stimulating the provision of loans for small and medium-sized enterprises ("The Program 6.5"), developed by Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, by 50 billion. RUB.

Previously, the program's limit was 125 billion RUB. The increase of the limit up to 175 billion RUB will enable to widen the access of the subjects of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs to concessional lending in the regions.

"The Program 6.5" was developed jointly by the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Bank of Russia and the "SME Corporation".

The objective of the Program - is to establish a support mechanism for the subjects of small and medium-sized enterprises by providing credits on concessional terms for the acquisition of fixed assets, modernization and reconstruction of production facilities, launching new projects, and replenishing the working capital by applying the mechanism of providing loans by the Bank of Russia to credit organizations, secured by the JSC "SME Corporation".

Currently, “The Program 6.5” is oriented towards the regional base banks. Thus, out of the 39 authorized banks under the Program, more than 30 are exactly the  regional banks. However, the process of accrediting banks and including them in the "The Program 6.5" is continuing.
